Head to The Maritime Museum over half term for five days of action packed family fun! Vikings at the Maritime Museum is sponsored by Ogier. Find out about these fierce Scandinavian traders and sea warriors and learn about their daily lives. There will be a host of crafts and activities, and the opportunity to take part in the Battle of Stamford Bridge, a battle that most historians agree marked the end of the Viking era. Professional historical reenactors from UK-based Griffin Historical will be providing stories from Norse myth and legend, action activities including combats, feuds and duelling, plus a glimpse into Viking everyday life with object handling and expert knowledge.
