Online survey form: https://form.jotform.com/243224353075350 Jersey's Great Garden Birdwatch 2025 1st - 2nd February Action for Wildlife Jersey’s annual Great Garden Birdwatch returns this year for its 24th year in succession. We hope as many people as possible will take part in order that we may continue to build up a picture of the health of the Island’s bird population. HERE ARE ALL THE DETAILS YOU NEED TO TAKE PART: The Jersey Great Garden Birdwatch is taking place over the weekend of 1st - 2nd February 2025. The method of the count is very straightforward. Grab a cuppa, a comfy seat with a garden or balcony view and copy of the handy garden bird guide. The bird watching times are for one hour between 8:00 am and 11:00 am on either Saturday or Sunday morning. Keep track of the highest number of each bird species you see at any one time during your hour of observation and make a note on the survey form. On this particular occasion and for one weekend only, Red Squirrels are included as garden birds. It will be interesting to see if their garden visits have become more frequent over the years.
