Join us on a kayaking tour taking you past some of the many German Bunkers and fortifications scattered along our coastline. Get a perspective from an attackers point of view on how hard it would have been to assault some of these cliff top and beach front positions. Plus learn about the role these fortifications played during WWII and the associated stories about the people forced to help build them and solders manning them. Kayak Nomad organises tours to work with the weather and tides, to select the best paddling locations on the day. So we can’t advise of the launch location or the coastal route we will take, until closer the time. However, we have lots of WWII bunkers and older fortifications adapted by the Germans all around the island. So be will be sure to be able to show you some of them.
