An exciting programme will be sung by charismatic soprano Kate Royal including folksongs, popular operatic arias and musical theatre from Song to the Moon and the Sound of Music Kate is a regular at the great opera houses around the world from the Paris Opera to the Metropolitan New York and of course the Royal Opera House. She has made countless recordings which are the pick of all interpretations and performs with the finest orchestras from the Berlin Philharmonic to the London Symphony Orchestra. “A sense of serene happiness” The New York Times “ Royal's voice is just sublime; rich, warm and pure ” BBC Music Magazine The charity M usic in Action is at the forefront of outreach projects in Jersey. In 2024, over 6505 children and care home residents have taken part in the Music in Action outreach programme.
