Seabird egg painting - drop-in Easter craft event

Seaside Café Le Mont de Ste Marie JE3 3AA St Mary

Details

Could you tell a puffin egg from a seagull egg? Or an oystercatcher egg from a guillemot egg? Join Erin and Cris at the Seaside Café on this drop-in workshop to learn all about seabird eggs and paint your own. Please bring your own hens' eggs (preferrably white or pale coloured) and we will show you how to empty them, then you can choose which type of seabird’s egg you would like to copy. Please also save an empty egg box, so that you can bring them home safely. Learn what makes seabird eggs special and the wide variety of colours and patterns that they can have. All paints and tools will be provided, as well as information and images of the different species of seabirds and their eggs. This is a free NTJ members 'drop-in' activity, suitable for children aged 5 and over, so arrive when you like and stay for as long as you like. We just ask that you book a ticket please, so that we have an idea of numbers, and have your details in case we need to contact you regarding any unforeseen changes. Non-members' tickets also available at £8. Booking essential, please ensure children are accompanied by an adult. To support our conservation work, and take part in many exciting events such as this, please consider becoming a member . Family memberships are available from only £45 a year.
